Georgia-based photographer Emily Greenslade was born and raised in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Her parents, Brian, an amateur nature photographer, and Beverly, a seamstress, nurtured her artistic skills through their interests and taught her the basics of sewing and camera mechanics. Greenslade is currently finishing her bachelor's in fine art at Kennesaw State University and previously attended Parsons School for Design.

Originally starting as a sports photographer, she has naturally drifted towards fine art portraiture utilizing her growing education in studio production and photography art history. Since 2020, Greenslade has been honing in on her skills in self-portraiture. She continues to explore many methods and compositions surrounding self-portraiture.
